Eso mismo que te vino a la cabeza, lo que sea, pero hazlo. Eso que te viene y lo tiras para atrás como si fuera un mechón del pelo en la frente o una mosca pesada. No lo dejes para luego o para mañana.
Cualquier cosa como esta, por ejemplo: abraza y da un beso a tu hijo a menudo o, cuando sea necesario, una nalgada, sin posponerlos. Dile a la persona que tienes al lado que la amas o que no estás de acuerdo de cómo van las cosas, que no estás feliz o que todo es monotonía; pero si la amas, dilo en cada uno de tus gestos: no seas cicatero con el amor. Al mismo camarero de siempre, el de todas las mañanas, y que ya se cansó de verte, dile que no te tire el plato a la mesa. Al jefe, bueno o malo, que no mire el reloj cada vez que te ve entrar o salir y te vigila el tiempo que te estás en el servicio para orinar o fumarte la colilla de un pitillo a escondidas. Al compañero de trabajo que deje de susurrar a tus espaldas o desear tu puesto. Niégate a emprender esos estudios que tus padres te imponen, pero cuídate de formarte en la materia que nace de tu vieja vocación…
No dejes para luego, mañana o nunca, escribir ese poema que te tiene atragantada la sensibilidad, pues en cuanto te sale el primero, ya toda tu vida es pura creatividad.
No dejes para nunca ser una buena persona, ni abandones el hábito de escuchar a la gente más que de largar a destajo por esa boquita. Aunque no debes escucharlo todo, ni verlo todo, ni hablarlo todo, pero estate atento en el instante de vivir, para no perderte tu propia vida.
No dejes para nunca la solidaridad contigo y los demás. No dejes para nunca grabar los romances de viejo que aún recuerda tu abuelo y que repite en solitario cada tarde cuando se da cuenta que muere el día.
No dejes para nunca hacer el bien con plena inocencia de que eres un instrumento de la vida. No dejes para nunca parar por unos minutos al día el vicioso ajetreo y, con sosiego, mirar el cielo para contar las nubes mientras cambian sus formas fantásticas.
No, no dejes para nunca todas y cada una de esas cosillas que te vienen y pospones por tiempo indefinido…
No te dejes a ti mismo para nunca.
